This brilliantly colored, gorgeous image of seemingly a gilt/glossy GMT Master Ref. 1675 originates from an original Rolex catalog circa the early 1970s. It's in absolutely mint condition. Regarding the image, which appears to be a rendering, it's very common that "older" versions of a model are pictured in "current" marketing material. That's why the GMT Master shown looks like a late 1960s configuration despite the catalog being from the 1970s.

Simply put, this is the largest, crispest image of GMT Master I've ever come across in a "magazine size" print advertisement. All the details you want to see, characteristic of this extra-special GMT Master, are present to capture your attention and draw you in... Not only are signature aspects of this icon presented beautifully, like the "small triangle" tip at the end of the 24-hour hand, but the dynamic and captivating gilt/glossy dial comes to life because the paper stock happens to be thicker and has a smoother finish - a subtle nuance of the page that adds to the overall coolness. 

The bold image is complimented by the perfect caption, including mentioning Pan Am Airways, which is part of the story of the model's heritage and a key element of Rolex marketing in the early days of the model. 

Overall, this is a unique form of advertising that was destined for framing and enjoyed displayed. Its "smaller" size quickly becomes an afterthought because of the magnitude of the image, which again, wonderfully highlights a Grail watch any Rolex lover would proudly wear and cherish.
