These t-shirts were inspired by one-off pieces my wife would order for me on random holidays, like Father’s Day, my birthday, Christmas. I would proudly post her gifts on Instagram, and then, would end up getting messages from friends wanting Ad Patina gear! At first I was hesitant to make “merch” - preferring to stick to what I do best (hunting and framing ads). But the thought lingered… What if I did make some gear? It could be fun…

I knew I wasn’t gonna go down this road unless I could offer high-quality, good-fitting apparel. Lucky for me I know a guy… I reached out to my friend Wesley Smith, who you probably know from his automotive-inspired apparel brand Standard-H. Before long, a plan was in the works to use Standard H’s proven “Shift Logo” T-shirt as the foundation for Ad Patina’s foray into fashion! It feels great to know this t-shirt is made well thanks to Wesley’s decade of experience designing clothing and running an apparel business. It also feels great to work with a friend and support his business and passion.
