On exhibit here is a small portfolio of framing projects.

Over the past six years Ad Patina has collaborated with hundreds of customers from all over the world to design framing that not only showcases these original advertisements ideally, but also ensure that they display beautifully amidst the decor of a home or office and ultimately reflect the taste and embody the lifestyle of the customer.

  • Black & White

  • Sometimes simple is just better. And there's certain ads that look their best surrouned by a white border and black frame. No need to go  overboard or overthink. In general, it's hard to go wrong choosing this minimilist look. When I design your project, I'll make sure to choose a black frame and mat in the perfect shade of white or cream to compliment the ad.

  • Colored Frames

  • Certain ads need color around them to come to life - and be fully appreciated. Injecting color into a framing can not only make an ad shine brighter and get noticed, but can also be a way to reflect your personality into a project. To do color framing right, it needs to be done "tastefully" and not cliche. That's where I come in - getting to be creative and thoughtful. And then there's where you come in... Designing with an abundnace of color and more-intricate aspects requires collaboration. We're in it together coming up with a beautiful framing. And speaking of the framing, when it's all done, you end up loving looking at the framing as much as the ad!

  • Natural & Metallic Frames

  • Neutral is the name of the game here. A nice alternative to black, that often works as well, if not a touch better... Frames that are shades of brown, grey tones, or have a metallic sheen, are easy on the eye and inviting. This color palette tends to not "overpower" the art. The medium, natural, or silver options you can choose on the website might work perfectly. But if I think a darker brown would be better - or gold instead of silver - I'll share my thoughts (and experience). Neutral frames offer a lot of variety, as far as shade of color, texture, and more. Definitely worth going down this road :)

Multi-Page Framing

Ads aren't always on a nice, single, full page. Ads come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, colors, and condition. This is a good thing, because when it comes to framing and displaying, you'll have variety on your wall. I personally enjoy having a mix of frame shapes - to scatter around. The arrangement ends up being as eye-catching as the ads.

There's so many great ads that come in 2-page spreads. These are wonderful - and challening. Wonderful because you end up with the "largest" frame, which can take up the perfect amount of space - and be more impactful. But also challeninging because of the "difficulty" piecing together and connecting the pages. Of course, that's where I come in - with my patience, attention to detail, and "skills" to make sure 2-page ads look their best, especially when the copy and/or imagery is continuous across the spread. You definitely want me overseeing the framing of a multi-page ad ;)
