Story and Details

Few full-page ads exist that feature a vintage Daytona. Of the handful I've come across, this 1967 ad stands out... First, the ad is more like a photograph, showing a driving-glove-clad hand on the steering wheel. Then there's the watch with a Ref. 6239 dial installed in a Ref. 6238 case. An uncommon configuration, but a common sighting in old Rolex ads. That is, showing a version of a model that doesn't match the current production model.

Frame Dimensions & Design

Approx. 12 5/8" x 15 1/4" (32cm x 38cm)

Page is ideally cropped by a custom-measured, hand-cut 4-ply border in a shade of white that compliments tones of paper. Frame is custom-sized andmade of solid wood with black painted finish.
