Gallet Advertisements
A Swiss brand with roots back to the early 1800s, Gallet has been responsible for many horological advancements that contributed to chronographs, from creating the first water resistant cases for chronographs to popularizing military watches for every day wear. Looking at the historic ads from the brand, you’ll often find chronographs at the core of the advertised collection. In the 1970s, Gallet also acquired the Racine Company (the family-run business behind Enicar), so you’ll often find references to Racine watches on ads that were run following the acquisition.
