Chronographs

Heuer is known for their Chronos. Did they even make a watch in the '60s or '70s that didn't have a chronograph? Any Heuer fanatic knows, of the two most-legendary wristwatches Jack Heuer designed (the Autavia and Carrera) - the Autavia came first.

Why it's special... Where to begin with this one... First there's those retail prices smack dab in the middle of the page (yeah, times have certainly changed). Then there's that extra-special Autavia featured: The GMT with it's blue/red, "Pepsi" bezel glistening from the page thanks to the ad being in full-color. I also love the extensive copy explaining how it works and where it comes in handy (although I'm not sure how effective it ultimately was given the incredibly low number of screwback, Autavia GMTs known to exist). Maybe would-be buyers didn't think the added complication deserved the premium pricing...

Dimensions: 8 1/4" x 11" (20.9cm x 28cm)
